Mykonos has excellent food but prices are the highest in Greece. Fresh fish is caught daily and grilled simply with lemon and olive oil at waterfront tavernas. For something special, Chez Maria's Garden in town has been a favourite for years — candle-lit dining among bougainvillea with good seafood and lamb. Most restaurants are only open from April to September and stay open late, often until 1 or 2 am. Outside the summer season, options are limited.
