Kiraly Street is one of the better short walks in old Gyor, lined with protected historic buildings rather than a single showpiece monument. Look for the former First Savings Bank at the corner with Baross Street, the old Black Eagle Inn, and the Esterhazy Palace, now tied into the city's art museum scene.
It is best treated as part of a slow loop through the old centre, linking the cathedral area, Szechenyi Square, and the smaller lanes around the museums.
