Jurisics Castle Museum

The museum inside Jurisics Castle covers the history of the 1532 siege in satisfying depth, with period weapons, armour, maps, and reproductions of documents from both the Hungarian and Ottoman sides. Upstairs galleries deal with the broader history of Kőszeg from its medieval founding through the 18th century. Labels are in Hungarian and English. The castle's courtyard and the views from the upper battlements are also worth the entry fee on their own. Allow 1–1.5 hours for a thorough visit.
