King Stephen Museum

The Szent István Király Múzeum is the city's main museum, split between two buildings in the centre. The collection covers the long history of the region, with particularly good Roman material from the nearby Gorsium site, medieval finds from the royal basilica excavations, and a comprehensive ethnographic section on rural Fejér County.

The picture gallery in the Csók István hall, around the corner on Bartók Béla tér, shows 20th-century Hungarian painting and rotating contemporary exhibitions. A single ticket usually covers both branches.
