Caffè delle Arti

A long-established café on the main pedestrian stretch of central Pescara, the Caffè delle Arti is where locals come for the morning cornetto and espresso before work and again in the afternoon for a granita or ice cream. The interior is old-fashioned in the best sense — marble counter, dark wood, rows of bottles — and the coffee is taken seriously.

In the evenings it transitions into a bar with aperitivo, drawing a younger crowd from the nearby university. The prices are fair for the location. It is one of the reliable constants in a city whose café scene changes more quickly than most Italian cities of this size.
