Getting There

By air: Pescara's Abruzzo Airport (PSR) sits just south of the city centre and is the main gateway to the region. Ryanair flies from several European cities including London Stansted, Brussels Charleroi, and Kraków. The airport is small and check-in fast. A taxi to the city centre takes around ten minutes; there are also buses.

By train: Pescara Centrale station is on the Adriatic coastal line, with fast connections south to Bari (around 2.5 hours) and north to Ancona and Bologna. Rome is reached via an inland line through Sulmona — the journey takes around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the service. The station is walkable from the beach and the city centre.

By road: The A24 motorway links Pescara with Rome (around 2.5 hours). The A14 runs along the coast connecting to Bologna in the north and Bari in the south.
