Getting Around

Pescara is a flat city and relatively easy to navigate on foot or by bike. The main sights are concentrated within a few kilometres of the beach. Bike sharing is available and the seafront is well suited for cycling.

City buses cover the wider urban area, but for most visitors on foot the central areas are manageable without them. Taxis are available outside the station and can be hailed on Corso Umberto I.

For day trips into the mountains, a car is essentially required — public transport connections to the Gran Sasso and Majella areas are limited.
