The Tempietto is a small circular chapel by Donato Bramante, built in the courtyard of San Pietro in Montorio to mark the traditional site of St Peter's martyrdom. It is tiny, but its perfect proportions made it one of the model buildings of the High Renaissance. Come while exploring the Janiculum and Trastevere, and step into the courtyard for a few quiet minutes with a building that influenced half of later church architecture.
