Cala Francese is a small cove on Lampedusa's eastern side, close enough to town and the airport to be easy, but still unmistakably part of the island's clear-water beach landscape. Low rocks frame the sand and make the water good for a quick swim or snorkel in calm conditions.
It is not as famous as Spiaggia dei Conigli, and that is the point. Cala Francese works well when you want a shorter beach stop without turning the day into an expedition across the island.
