Capo Ponente is the western edge of Lampedusa, where the island thins into low rock, scrub, and long views across the Mediterranean. It is less about a single monument than the feeling of arriving at the end of the island, with the sea opening on several sides.
Come for late-afternoon light, short walks, and a change of pace from the busier coves near town. The headland is exposed and spare, so it rewards visitors who like coastal scenery more than beach services.
