The Insula Romana is a partially excavated 3rd-century Roman residential complex on the headland just beyond the archaeological museum. The visible remains include a sequence of rooms, a small private bath, and a long corridor mosaic showing wild animals — lions, leopards, a panther — in fine condition.
The site is open-air, partly covered, and free to wander; a short interpretive trail loops past the bath block and the antiquarium with a few finds on display. Combined with the museum next door, it makes for a coherent hour on the Punic and Roman city.
