San Giuseppe is a Baroque church on Piazza Pola in Ragusa Ibla, also designed by Rosario Gagliardi in the 18th century. Its facade is notably theatrical, with convex and concave curves that make it one of the more distinctive examples of Sicilian Baroque in the town.
The church is often less visited than San Giorgio, which makes it worth seeking out — you can appreciate the facade and the piazza in front of it without the crowds. The interior has an octagonal plan, unusual for the period, which creates a surprisingly intimate space beneath the dome.
