Oskars Kalpaks Bridge

Oskars Kalpaks Bridge is the old swing bridge linking central Liepaja with Karosta. Built in 1906 and designed by German engineer Harald Hall, it still opens for ships using the naval channel.

The bridge is a useful stop on a Karosta walk, especially with the Northern Forts, Karosta Prison, and the old military district nearby. Check opening times if you need to cross by car, since traffic can pause when vessels pass through.
