Clausen sits in the Alzette valley downstream of the Grund, wrapped around the old Mousel and Henri Funck brewery sites. The breweries closed decades ago but the converted buildings are now the city's main concentration of late-night bars and clubs — the Rives de Clausen complex hosts a dozen venues across former brewing halls.
Daytime, Clausen is quiet and residential. After 11pm on a Friday or Saturday it is loud and crowded; the night buses from here back to the centre are usually full. Reach Clausen on foot down from Plateau Altmünster or by bus 14 from the city centre.
