The Church of the Holy Mother of God stands across the Pena River from the Church of Saint Nicholas. Completed in 1916, it is a modest but graceful Orthodox church, with a dome and bell tower that make it easy to pick out from the surrounding streets.
It is best treated as part of a short walk through Tetovo's religious sites, rather than a destination on its own. The appeal is in the contrast between the town's churches, mosques, river, and mountain backdrop.
