Sliema's main activity is the waterfront walk — the promenade along Triq ix-Xatt runs for several kilometres and is one of the best urban strolls in Malta. The town also has a handful of architecturally interesting buildings, a short ferry ride to Valletta, and easy access to the rocky swimming spots along the coastline.
