A small square one block north of Rembrandtplein, with an art market on Sunday afternoons. Less hectic than its larger neighbour, with a canal on one side and a row of terrace cafes on the other. Named after the liberal prime minister Johan Rudolph Thorbecke, whose statue stands at the centre.
