Klaeuwshofje

Klaeuwshofje is a small historic courtyard near Delft's Oostpoort. It was founded in 1605 by Dirck and Elizabeth Uyttenhage for unmarried or widowed Catholic women, a reminder that Delft's old charitable institutions were often tucked into quiet residential corners.

It is a modest stop rather than a headline sight, but it pairs naturally with the Eastern Gate and the old centre. Go for the scale and atmosphere: brick houses, a sheltered courtyard, and a glimpse of the social history behind Delft's polished canal views.
