St. Catherine's Church is a large Gothic Augustinian church in Kazimierz, founded in the 14th century under King Casimir the Great. Its tall brick walls and pointed windows feel more severe than Krakow's Baroque churches, which is part of the appeal.
Inside, look for the Baroque altar and Renaissance tombs, then step back outside to take in the scale of the building from the surrounding streets. It is a good quiet counterpoint to the busier synagogues, cafes, and bars of Kazimierz.
