The House Under the Star is one of Torun's finest old town houses, with medieval origins, later rebuilding, and a richly decorated Baroque facade. Inside, the wooden spiral stairs, painted Renaissance ceiling, and reconstructed rooms give a close look at the domestic architecture behind the city's grand brick Gothic monuments.
The house also holds a small Far Eastern art exhibition. It is not a large museum, but it rewards anyone interested in historic interiors and the layered merchant history of Torun's old town.
