Praia da Marinha is one of the most photogenic beaches on the Algarve coast, a small cove framed by yellow limestone cliffs and a sea-arch standing in the water just offshore. It is reached by a steep set of steps down from the clifftop car park.
From the clifftop above, the Seven Hanging Valleys trail (Sete Vales Suspensos) runs east, dipping in and out of the small coves between Marinha and Vale de Centeanes. It is a five- to six-kilometre walk and one of the great coastal walks of Portugal.
