The most enduring of Bucharest's alternative venues, going since 2007 in a courtyard just behind Calea Victoriei. The programme is a mix of indie rock concerts, electronic DJ sets, and the occasional jazz night; the crowd is twenty-something Bucharest creative-class, drinks are cheap, and the courtyard is the redeeming feature in summer.
The interior is small, hot, and loud during gigs — pleasantly so. Check the schedule online before going; the place is at its best when there is a band on, less interesting on a quiet midweek night. Walk-ins fine for the bar; concerts often sell out and benefit from an advance ticket.
