Holy Spirit Church is the oldest surviving building in the southern part of Košice. Built between 1730 and 1733 on the site of a medieval hospice, it stood outside the old city walls and its tower was used as a lookout.
The main reason to stop is the interior fresco showing Košice in the 18th century. It gives the church more local interest than its modest exterior suggests and makes it a good addition to a walk beyond Hlavná ulica.
