Sándor Márai House preserves part of the childhood home of Sándor Márai, the Košice-born writer whose novels became central to 20th-century Hungarian literature. The small museum is most rewarding for visitors with an interest in literature, Central European history, or Košice's multilingual past.
The visit is modest in scale, but it adds a personal stop to a walk through the old centre. Pair it with Hlavná ulica and the East Slovak Museum.
