Fiesa

Fiesa is the next bay along the coast from Piran, reachable by a fifteen-minute coastal path that climbs over the headland behind the cathedral and then descends through pine woods to the shore. The beach is rocky-and-pebble rather than sandy, the water is exceptionally clear, and the small freshwater lagoons just behind the beach add a touch of strangeness.

It is the locals' preferred swim — quieter than the main Piran swimming areas and very much quieter than the developed beaches of Portoroz next door. A small cafe at the cove serves drinks and grilled fish in season.
