Strunjan is a small protected landscape park on the headland just north of Piran, occupying a coastline of flysch cliffs that drop nearly eighty metres straight into the sea — the highest sea cliffs along the entire Adriatic. A clifftop path traces the edge from the village of Strunjan to the Moon Bay below, where naturist bathers gather on the pebble beach.
Inland, the park preserves a traditional landscape of olive groves, salt pans, and lagoons — the smaller and less-visited counterpart to Secovlje. A loop walk of two to three hours takes in the cliffs, the salt pans, and the Strunjan saltworks lagoon. Buses run from Piran and Portoroz.
