El Copo is the stretch of beach bars and terraces along the seafront — busy from early evening well into the night in summer. The mix is typical of the Costa del Sol: Spanish chiringuitos serving cold beer and tapas alongside expatriate bars showing English-language football. Coffee culture is strong; most cafés serve a café con leche or cortado well into the afternoon. The Paseo Marítimo terraces are the most pleasant places to sit and watch the beach.
