Camposagrado Palace

Grand 18th-century Baroque palace on the old town's main square

An imposing 18th-century Baroque palace on Plaza de Porlier, now serving as the seat of the Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Asturias. The facade is the draw — a large, symmetrical frontage with ornate balconies, carved coats of arms, and a monumental staircase visible through the entrance. The building is not open for regular visits, but the exterior is one of the finest pieces of civil Baroque architecture in Asturias.

Worth pausing at while walking through the old quarter. The plaza in front is quiet and pleasant, a good contrast to the busier streets around the cathedral a block away.
