La Llania is one of El Hierro's loveliest short walks, looping through cool highland forest where trade-wind mist feeds moss, ferns, and laurel trees. It feels far removed from the island's dry lava slopes and black-coast villages.
The trail is manageable for most walkers, but the weather can change quickly in the uplands. Go for the contrast: in a compact island, La Llania shows how dramatically El Hierro shifts between coast, volcanic plateau, and cloud forest.
