A Soviet-themed restaurant and bar in Podil, named for an old Ukrainian fruit liqueur. The interior is full of 1960s and 70s Soviet ephemera — record players, samovars, propaganda posters — without being entirely tongue-in-cheek; the soundtrack and the cooking come from the same era.
The food is genuine working-class Soviet-Ukrainian fare (varenyky, kotleta po-Kyivsky, salo) and the bar makes its own spotykach. Lively in the evenings, with live Ukrainian music several nights a week.
