Briston

North Norfolk village between Holt and Fakenham, closely linked with neighbouring Melton Constable.

Briston is a large village in north Norfolk, sitting between Holt and Fakenham. It lies alongside Melton Constable, its immediate neighbour, and the two villages share facilities. The nearest town is Holt, and Norwich is the closest city, around 20 miles to the south-east.

The village has a parish church, primary school, post office, and a range of local shops including a co-op. It is a working Norfolk village rather than a tourist destination, but its location makes it a useful base for exploring the north Norfolk coast and the Broads. The medieval All Saints' Church sits at the eastern end of the village, and Stody Lodge gardens just east are worth timing a visit around in late spring.
