Park & Tilford Gardens

Address 333 Brooksbank Avenue

Park & Tilford Gardens is a small (1.5 acre) themed botanical garden adjoining the Park & Tilford shopping centre on the east side of North Vancouver. The garden is organised as a sequence of small enclosed "rooms" — a White Garden, an Oriental Garden, a Native Garden, a Display Garden, and a Rose Garden — each laid out by a different gardener.

The garden was originally part of a distillery complex in the 1960s and was donated to the public when the distillery closed. It is well maintained, attractively planted, and almost completely free of crowds — most visitors to the adjacent shopping centre do not realise it is there. Admission is free.

It is not large enough to make a destination in its own right, but it is a pleasant 45-minute stop if combined with the Park Royal area or a visit to the eastern North Vancouver waterfront. The garden is open daily during daylight hours.
