Waterfront Park is a practical North Vancouver stop because it gives you the harbour without needing a car or a long hike. From the lawns and paths near Lonsdale Quay, the view opens across Burrard Inlet to downtown Vancouver, the port, and the working waterfront.
It is best as part of a SeaBus outing: visit the quay, walk the park, and continue along the local waterfront paths if the weather is clear. The park is not dramatic like the North Shore mountains, but it is one of the easiest places to understand North Vancouver's relationship to the harbour.
