Spencer Smith Park is Burlington's main waterfront park, running along Lake Ontario in the heart of downtown. The wide promenade gives views across the lake and of the Skyway Bridge. The park has a Waterfront Discovery Centre (outdoor skating rink in winter, water-play area in summer), a children's playground, performance areas, and a Japanese Garden. It is the venue for major community events including the Sound of Music Festival and Ribfest.
