A modest but very civilised ski hill on the southern edge of Thunder Bay, Loch Lomond has around 18 runs, two chairlifts, and a vertical drop of 220 metres. It is the main downhill ski option in the city — affordable, friendly, and busy on winter weekends with locals and the Lakehead University crowd.
The resort also has snowboarding, terrain parks, and a tubing hill. Cross-country trails run from the base area. The season runs roughly mid-December to late March. Ski rentals and a basic lodge with food and drink.
