Terramar Museum occupies a restored building in central Kralendijk and provides the island's clearest historical overview. Archaeology, objects, and interpretation connect Indigenous settlement, colonial rule, slavery, salt production, and the communities that shaped modern Bonaire.
It is small enough to visit in about an hour and useful near the start of a trip, especially before driving the salt road or visiting Rincon. Check current opening hours; the museum operates with a small team and its programme changes.
