The salt pans around Jan Kok and Sint Willibrordus are a regular feeding ground for Caribbean flamingos. A roadside observation point lets you scan the shallow water without entering the protected area, and Landhuis Jan Kok overlooks the same landscape from higher ground.
Sightings vary with water levels, season, and time of day, and the birds are often distant. Bring binoculars, stay at the designated viewpoint, and regard a large pink flock as good fortune rather than a guarantee.
