Playa Kenepa Grandi

Playa Kenepa Grandi, also called Grote Knip, is Curaçao's postcard beach: a broad curve of pale sand below limestone cliffs, with water that shifts from clear turquoise to deep blue at the mouth of the bay. The viewpoint above the steps is almost as rewarding as the beach itself.

This is a free public beach with fewer facilities than the resort-style beaches near Willemstad. Arrive early for shade, bring food and water, and take valuables with you rather than leaving them in the car. Snorkelling is best along the rocky sides of the bay.
