Playa Lagun is a small fishing beach at the end of a long, narrow cove. Cliffs shelter the water, while reef fish gather along both rocky sides and turtles sometimes follow the fishermen returning with their catch. It is one of the west's easiest places for a relaxed snorkel from shore.
The sand is compact and can feel crowded once the dive groups arrive. Come in the morning, swim along one wall of the cove, and watch for fishing boats entering the channel. A few simple places above the beach make it an easy lunch stop.
