The Aftel Archive of Curious Scents is a small, reservation-based museum devoted to perfume, aromatics, and the history of scent. It is more hands-on than a standard display case museum, with botanical materials, old books, perfume ingredients, and dozens of scents to sample.
Plan on about an hour, and book ahead. Its North Shattuck location makes it easy to combine with the Gourmet Ghetto before or after lunch.
