The Greek Theatre is Berkeley's open-air amphitheatre, tucked into the slope above the UC campus. Its classical bowl, hillside setting, and long concert history make it one of the Bay Area's most atmospheric places to see live music or a campus ceremony.
It is event-driven, so the building is mainly worth planning around when there is a show. If you already have a ticket, arrive early enough to walk the campus and take in the views from the hills above Berkeley before the lights come up.
