Berkeley rewards walking. The UC campus, Telegraph Avenue, and the Gourmet Ghetto on Shattuck are all within easy reach of each other. The Campanile — Sather Tower — is visible from most of the city and offers a sweeping bay view from its observation deck. Above the city, Tilden Regional Park offers trails through the hills with views of the bay; Indian Rock Park is the best viewpoint you can reach on foot from downtown. The Lawrence Hall of Science is particularly good for families.
