The University of Redlands campus, founded in 1907, occupies a 160-acre site at the northeastern edge of town. The architecture is a unified Mission Revival in stucco and red tile, set among mature oaks and orange trees. The Memorial Chapel — a 1928 Romanesque-Gothic building near the centre of campus — is open to visitors and worth a quick look.
The campus is open to the public for walks during daylight hours. Free parking is generally available outside class times. A short walking route from the chapel, around the central quad, and back via the orange grove takes about half an hour.
