Titusville Commercial District

The historic downtown core along South Washington Avenue and the adjoining cross streets, listed on the National Register since 1990. About two dozen buildings remain from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, most of them two-story brick commercial fronts with restored awnings and storefronts.

Pleasant for a slow walk after a museum visit. The street has a handful of cafes, antique stores, and a brewery, and Wednesday evenings in season bring a small farmers' market. Not a long stop on its own — twenty minutes — but a pleasant break from the rocket-and-refuge focus of most Titusville visits.
