Busch Stadium is the home of the St Louis Cardinals, one of the most successful franchises in Major League Baseball with 11 World Series titles — more than any team except the Yankees. The current ballpark opened in 2006 and seats 44,000, with a particularly photogenic view of the Gateway Arch over the right-field wall.
The Cardinals draw famously dedicated crowds; even mid-week games against weaker opponents commonly fill three-quarters of the seats. The atmosphere is the main attraction — beer is cheap by stadium standards, fans actually pay attention, and the pre-game and seventh-inning rituals are observed. Tours of the stadium run on non-game days. Ballpark Village, the development next door, has restaurants and bars geared to game crowds.
