Woodward Park is Tulsa's old-fashioned garden escape: 45 acres of lawns, paths, stonework, and formal planting in Midtown, a short hop from the Philbrook Museum. It is not as spectacular as Gathering Place, but it has a more settled charm, with mature trees, quiet corners, and flower beds that feel like they belong to an older Tulsa.
The main reason to come is the Tulsa Rose Garden, laid out in terraces and especially good in late spring and early autumn. The wider park also includes the Tulsa Garden Center and the Linnaeus Teaching Garden, so gardeners can easily lose more time here than expected. For everyone else, it is a pleasant slow walk before or after the museum.
