Sunrise

Sunrise is the highest part of Mount Rainier National Park reachable by car, at about 6,400 feet. In summer, meadows spread below the mountain, and clear days bring broad views of Mount Rainier, Emmons Glacier, and the Cascade volcanoes.

The area is seasonal and usually accessible only in summer. It is also a starting point for several hikes, including routes toward Mount Fremont Lookout and Glacier Basin.
