A long, wild beach reached by a 15-minute trail from the BA-001 road, about 8 km north of town. The trail follows a small river through Atlantic Forest before opening onto the sand at a river mouth. The sweet-water lagoon where the river meets the sea is one of the area's standout features — calm, warm, ankle-to-waist deep, perfect for small children.
The Atlantic surf at Jeribucaçu is stronger than at the lagoon, with consistent breaks suitable for intermediate surfers. A few barracas on the beach serve fish and drinks. Most visitors come for the morning, swim in the lagoon at high tide, and head back before the long walk uphill in the heat of the afternoon.
