Jardín is one of the prettiest towns in Antioquia's coffee country, set in a green bowl of mountains about three hours from Medellín. The central square is the showpiece: painted balconies, leather chairs outside cafes, horses clopping past, and the stone basilica rising above it all.
The town has real depth beyond the postcard view. You can climb into the bell tower of the Basílica Menor de la Inmaculada Concepción, ride La Garrucha across the valley in a small cable car, and walk to Jardín de Rocas to watch the bright orange Andean cock-of-the-rock at close range.
Jardín is also a good base for coffee farms, waterfalls, and rougher mountain trails, but the town itself is the reason to come. It still feels like a working Antioquian pueblo, not a resort built around visitors, and that makes an extra day here feel well spent.
