Plaza de Toros

The Manizales bullring is a striking Moorish-revival structure built in 1951, with horseshoe arches, mudéjar tilework, and a 16,000-seat ring. It is the venue for the bullfighting feria that runs every January as part of the Feria de Manizales.

Outside the feria, the bullring hosts concerts and the occasional football match. Whether or not bullfighting is your thing, the architecture is worth a look — it is one of the most distinctive buildings in the city.
